Write By The Sea will be holding an event on the 21st November 2019 at The Chambers on Sandgate Road, Folkestone from 2 pm until 6 pm.
This is a free event for the local people of our town, it will include over 30 authors who will be showcasing their books but also there to talk to their readers.
If you are a reader or a writer then this event is for you plus we have a free raffle which will be continually drawn throughout the afternoon with many ‘bookish’ prizes including lots of books to choose from.
From now until the event I will be posting about each author, here is your first one MARK BROPHY.
Dear Reader
May I invite you to discover The Prince’s Parade? It is a real place of unique beauty and also the title of my new book. It tells the story of Hana, a young girl from London who moves to the Kent coast with her Mum, Dad and baby brother. She becomes enchanted by her new home and discovers that it is a rather a magical place, with some unusual inhabitants!
Part fiction, part reality, the story explores how a relationship with nature is vital for happiness and wellbeing. I was inspired to write it out of a love for my local area and I hope that you too might discover it’s beauty through the pages of my book.
It is recommended for age 7 up but I hope people of all ages will enjoy it. All profits from the sale of the book will go towards the Save Prince’s Parade campaign.
